Iglesia las Carmelitas, Viña del Mar.. Sus elementos verticales y su estilo

La Iglesia de los Carmelitas  de estilo  neo-neo-gótico y torre de punta aguda , parte del paisaje urbano de avenida Libertad. Fue  diseñada por el arquitecto de la orden, Rufo de la Cruz, en 1926.
Sus fenestraciones traídas de Barcelona y el trabajo en metal de las puertas principales son algunas de estas caracteristicas.
El tamaño de la Iglesia contrasta con el estilo , ya que tanto ojivas como elementos verticales y torre agudizan visualmente el conjunto, armando un tamaño de Iglesia especial.
 El terremoto 2010, le trajo consigo una serie de problemas principalmente en la torre, la cual con delicados fisuramientos y agrietamientos quedó.
Este edificio, junto al Palacio Carrasco, son algunos de los pocos que quedan de ese Viña del Mar diseñado por Lowey y Vergara. El crecimiento inmobiliario, la conformación de Viña como ciudad turistica , y el boom demográfico, ( sin contar terremotos) armaron la nueva cara de Av. Libertad.

The Church of the Carmelitas is neo-neo-Gothic style with a  sharp point tower, part of the urban landscape of Liberty Avenue. It was designed by the architect of the order, Rufo de la Cruz in 1926.
Its fenestrations were brought from Barcelona and the metalwork of the main gates  are from Barcelona as well.
The size of the church contrasts with the style, the warheads and vertical elements , visually acute with tower  the mass of the building , putting together an special church size.
  The earthquake 2010 brought a number of problems mainly in the tower, they leave several and deep cracking in the joint of the tower and the frontal facade.
This building is next to the Palacio Carrasco, and both are among the few buildings left of that Viña del Mar designed by Lowey and Vergara. Housing growth, conformation and resort town of Vina, and the population boom, (excluding earthquakes) erected the new face of Liberty Ave.
